Gorky GAZ-53 truck served as the base chassis for more than a dozen special vehicles. Back in the early 1960s, the Ministry of medium road and municipal engineering was tasked with designing a fire truck on its chassis. As a result of the work carried out by the OKB, the Grabovsky factory of fire-fighting equipment assembled the first prototype of the AC-30(53) -106 tanker in 1965. which was installed on the GAE-53 chassis with a load capacity of 4000 kg. After modernization, the car became known as the AC-30 (53) - 106A.
