Volkswagen T4 series was the first "Conveyor", to use the front engine and front-wheel drive layout (all-wheel drive and later) transmission. The car was produced with two T4 standard options wheel base: short and long, and the height of the roof. The rear suspension was made a compact with coil springs over the rear levers to reduce load on the floor and loading height. T4 series was produced in six types of body:
Panel Van (with blank sides) Kombi Van or Half-Panel (with the Windows in the central section between the 2nd and 3rd pillar) Caravelle and Multivan (with panoramic Windows) Westfalia (modification of caravan (camper)) DoKa (chassis and flatbed truck with 5 double-bed cabin, the name comes from German DoKa Doppelkabine). 1990 model year.
